(AP Photo/Michael Wyke)HOUSTON โ Jason Day was back in contention on the eve of the Masters after two eventful days alongside Phil Mickelson. โHe kind of left himself in some pretty tough positions and youโre just struggling the whole day,โ Day said. The 12-time PGA Tour winner returned the next week at Sherwood to tie for 60th, and took last week off. โI think that was really helpful to learn that.โCarlos Ortiz of Mexico had a 68 to match Day at 5 under.

Garcia tied for lead going into final round in Mississippi
He was the first to post at 14-under 202, a lead that held until Garcia caught him, and J.T. He also is enjoying himself, even when putts that look like they're going in stay out. โWe love to make every putt we look at โ or not look at, in this case โ but we know that's not going to happen,โ Garcia said. Staked to a two-shot lead going into the weekend, he had three bogeys on the front nine before he hit a hybrid from 255 yards to 15 feet for an egle on the 11th hole. Not since that 2017 Masters has he had at least a share of the 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour.

Bradley leads by 2 shots going into weekend in Mississippi
18 during the second round of the Sanderson Farms Championship golf tournament in Jackson, Miss., Friday, Oct. 2, 2020. โ Keegan Bradley likes the way he's putting. In his debut in the Sanderson Farms Championship, Bradley made three straight birdies on the back nine to take the lead and closed with another short birdie putt to take a two-shot lead over J.T. What a great day, and I'm bringing a lot to the weekend that I'm happy about.โIt hasn't been much fun in the last year for Bradley, who won the PGA Championship as a rookie. Chappell shot 40 on the back nine and had to settle for a 72, leaving him five shots back.
