So Trask had plenty of loved ones around him rooting against the stateโs flagship university in Austin. On Saturday, some of those relatives might be a little torn between their beloved and 21st-ranked Aggies (1-1) and Trask and the No. Trask was a freshman at Manvel High at the time, in the early stages of a seven-year stretch as a backup quarterback. A year after replacing Franks at Kentucky and finishing with the most TD passes (25) for a Florida quarterback since Tebowโs senior season in 2010, Trask leads the Southeastern Conference with 10 TD tosses in two games.
Mullenโs Florida staff receives nearly $500K before pandemic
GAINESVILLE, Fla. โ Florida coach Dan Mullen didnโt get a raise or an extension after his teamโs 11-2 finish last season. Quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson, who has since been promoted to offensive coordinator, and defensive line coach David Turner got $100,000 more each. Hevesy also coaches the teamโs offensive line, while Gonzales works with receivers. Running backs coach/special teams coordinator Greg Knox got a $45,000 bump to $485,000. Tight ends coach Tim Brewster joined the staff in February and signed a two-year deal worth $485,000 annually.
