Police said three men are dead after a shooting on Spaulding Avenue in the Park Heights neighborhood. Two men died at the scene and a third was taken to a hospital, where he later died. During a news conference at the scene late Monday night, Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said the victims appeared to have been in a gun battle that spanned three city blocks with people shooting at each other. Still, it illustrated how the Emmy Awards are becoming a boutique event. Last year was the first time viewership slipped under 10 million people. Viewership is also fragmented across many different networks and streaming services, and several shows don't have a wide audience.
Hollywood power publicist and pal to stars Nanci Ryder dies
Nanci Ryder, a powerful Hollywood publicist and co-founder of BWR Public Relations who became close to such stars as Rene Zellweger and Courteney Cox, died Thursday of Lou Gehrigs disease in Los Angeles. Zellweger thanked Ryder in her best actress acceptance speech when she won the Academy Award for Judy earlier this year. Stints at Goldberg-Ehrlich Public Relations and Management and Michael Levine Public Relations followed, before she formed Nanci Ryder Public Relations in 1984, with Fox as her first client. In 1987, she co-founded the firm BWR Public Relations with Paul Baker and Larry Winokur. This spring, the firm's parent company, Burson Cohn & Wolfe, shut down BWR Public Relations, moving staffers or laying them off.
Courteney Cox says she doesn't remember "Friends"
Appearing via video call on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday, Cox said she doesn't remember much about playing the "mother hen" of the group, Monica Geller, on the hit TV show "Friends." Blaming her "bad memory" Cox laughed, adding, "I remember obviously loving everybody there and having fun and I remember certain times of my life. The "Cougar Town" actress said she's using her time in self-isolation to binge-watching "Friends," which she purchased on Amazon Prime. Cox participated in a "Friends" themed "Quarantine Minilogue" trivia game losing to Kimmel's cousin, who is a big fan of the show, 5-0. She also revealed filming for the highly-anticipated "Friends" reunion special has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

"Friends," the hit '90s sitcom, has lived on the streaming service since 2015 when Netflix paid $100 million for the rights to exclusively stream it on its platform. In July, WarnerMedia outbid Netflix, to the tune of around $400 million to $500 million, for the rights to the TV show. In the meantime, "Friends" will not be available to stream. There shouldn't be a long gap between the show leaving Netflix and arriving on the NBC platform.

Aniston took to her new Instagram page to acknowledge the glitches with a funny video. "As of now, people should be able to access and follow her profile with no problems," a Facebook company spokesperson said.

A search for Ross Geller, pop-culture's most famous paleontologist, brings up a couch -- click on it, and you'll hear Ross' helpful suggestion to "pivot!" For fans who search for "Friends glossary," the search engine will pull definitions for "unfloopy," "phalange," "hand twin" and "mississipily" -- just in case you needed reminding.
