Jacksonville Beach city leaders are considering an ordinance that would allow the city to deny, suspend or revoke dog park memberships for people investigated for or convicted of animal cruelty.

If you have ever been to Kanine Social on College Street, you know the humans have just as much fun as the dogs do. The bar area, along with the indoor and outdoor dog park, make it a place not only for canine comradery, but it’s a festive place for food trucks, neighborhood events and fundraisers. Now, the creator of Kanine Social is bringing a whole new experience to the Gate Parkway area called The Block Jax. There will be a second Kanine Social dog park there, but next to it will be an outdoor food hall, live music venue and play park for children.

Alberts Park in Mandarin has long been the home of the Mandarin Sports Association. Soon it will be home to a new dog park.
