Charles Lewis, former DC chief at AP and Hearst, has died

(Paul Stevens via AP)WASHINGTON โ Charles Lewis, a former Washington bureau chief for The Associated Press and The Hearst Newspapers who tirelessly advocated for the release of AP journalist Terry Anderson from kidnappers in Lebanon, died Saturday. Lewis campaigned internationally with Andersonโs sister, Peggy Say, with AP support to seek Andersonโs freedom, including several meetings with North. He later served as an assistant chief of bureau in Los Angeles and a bureau chief in Hartford, Connecticut, according to Mears. In 1989, he became chief of the Hearst Newspapers bureau in Washington and later served as senior editor there before retiring in 2013.

NY attorney general seeks to dissolve NRA
The organization went from a nearly $28 million surplus in 2015 to a $36 million deficit in 2018. Oliver North coming to Jacksonville area to support nonprofit

Oliver North will appear Friday evening in Ponte Vedra Beach to support Operation New Uniform.The Jacksonville organization helps veterans transition from their military career into the business world. "It's leaving that uniform and putting on the uniform of a successful person in American businesses, and they have perfected it."
