Operation New Uniform, a Jacksonville nonprofit helping military members transition to civilian careers, is celebrating its 70th graduation after nearly 11 years of service. CEO Michelle McManamon described the program’s unique approach: “We take a sales training program called Sandler and have made it into a curriculum that helps people learn how to sell themselves.”

Operation New Uniform (ONU) is hosting its first-ever Patriot Games to raise crucial funds that will ensure active duty, veterans, and military spouses can access ONU's transition training programs at no cost.

A classroom full of active-duty military and veterans enrolled in the Operation New Uniform’s (ONU) transition training program will graduate Friday morning.

Operation New Uniform is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that empowers Veterans and Military Spouses to transition to purposeful careers after service. Since 2014, ONU has helped thousands of Veterans develop the skills necessary to translate their talents and backgrounds into business. ONU offers numerous ways to get involved and join us in giving back to the Veterans who served our country, such as volunteer opportunities and fundraising events.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The mission of Operation New Uniform is to ensure that all of this nation’s veterans make a successful transition from life in the military to the civilian world. The group is making a Positively Jax difference by outfitting veterans with the skills they need to succeed and make it in the business world. We know Jacksonville is a military town. It’s really all about swapping a military uniform for a new uniform in civilian life. Operation New Uniform is continually working to grow its network of support of individuals, corporations and organizations to help even more veterans in an ever-growing community.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - An area nonprofit is earning the praise of a nationally known veteran. Lt. Col. Oliver North will appear Friday evening in Ponte Vedra Beach to support Operation New Uniform.The Jacksonville organization helps veterans transition from their military career into the business world. "It's leaving that uniform and putting on the uniform of a successful person in American businesses, and they have perfected it."
