Billy Porter to join New Year's Eve show from Times Square
Last New Year's Eve, Billy Porter was working in New Orleans. This year he'll still be working — but in New York City. The “Pose” star will join Ryan Seacrest and Lucy Hale on ABC in Times Square on Dec. 31 for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020.” The broadcast is closed to the public due to the pandemic. “2020 has been a trying year for the world and I’m thrilled to have Billy and Lucy join me in ushering in a new year with fresh beginnings,” said Seacrest in a statement. As with last year, Ciara will once again oversee the Los Angeles festivities.

The Pose actor served up fashion with a capital F on the red carpet at the 71st annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. Porter wore a custom Michael Kors Couture outfit, platform Rick Owens boots and Oscar Heyman jewelry, topped off with a custom Stephen Jones hat. Porter, who just celebrated his 50th birthday, channeled retro '70s disco vibes in a black double-breasted pinstripe jacket, matching wide-leg trousers and long scarf. 'Pose' Star Angelica Ross Joins Cast of 'American Horror Story: 1984'
In the case of Angelica Ross, one of the original five transgender series regulars on Pose, that means going from one Ryan Murphy project to the next. On Wednesday, Murphy took to Instagram to announce that the actress will be joining the cast of American Horror Storyfor the upcoming ninth season, dubbed 1984. She is joining the American Horror Story family in another unforgettable role. I must applaud [Angelica Ross] for her tour de force of a performance as Candy Abundance Ferocity. Ross co-stars, including Billy Porter and season ones Evan Peters and Kate Mara, have all appeared in past installments of American Horror Story.
