A young person was injured early Sunday morning after someone fired around 20 shots into a car that was stopped at a red light on the Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

A Jacksonville man is set to be resentenced Tuesday in the murder of an 8-year-old girl, a case that has wound its way through the legal system for the past 15 years.
