Patriots, Bucs among those making biggest waves so far
(AP Photo/Adam Hunger, File)Bill Belichick never was one to spent wildly in free agency. Whether by trade, free agency or re-signings, the group brings a good mix of offense, defense and special teams. In addition to keeping Von Miller, Justin Simmons and Shelby Harris, Paton filled his biggest defensive pothole by signing free agent cornerbacks Ronald Darby and Kyle Fuller. FUTURE CONSIDERATIONSThe Lions didnโt do much in free agency but nobody in Detroit should be bothered. The Lions are focused on rebuilding through the draft after sending QB Matthew Stafford to the Rams and then letting star wide receiver Kenny Golladay walk in free agency.

Patriots owner Kraft cleared of massage parlor sex charge
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. โ Florida prosecutors dropped a misdemeanor charge against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Thursday after courts blocked their use of video that allegedly shows him paying for massage parlor sex. The recordings, which have not been made public, are the only known evidence the men paid for sex. Prosecutors decided this week not to appeal to the Florida Supreme Court, saying a loss there could have โbroader, negative implicationsโ on future law enforcement investigations beyond the Kraft case. Aronberg said that because of a civil lawsuit filed against his office over the case, the recordings are still evidence. Police say the recordings show Kraft and other men engaging in sex acts with women and paying them.

Florida decision likely clears Pats owner of soliciting sex
The state's decision means the charges against Kraft and about 20 other men will likely be dismissed. The recordings, which have not been made public, are the only known potential evidence that the men paid for sex. Police say the recordings show Kraft and other men engaging in sex acts with women and paying them. The 4th District agreed, ruling that planting video cameras in private spaces is an โextremeโ measure that should only be used when absolutely necessary. Even if the charges are dropped, Kraft could still face a suspension or other punishment from the National Football League.

Racial injustice themes on display in empty NFL stadiums
After about 15 seconds, they rose, trotted off the field, and the game proceeded as normal. So weโll just stay inside until itโs time to play the game,โ Miami players said in the video. Goodell posted a video in June conceding that the league had been late in acknowledging the problem. Since then, the league has taken visible steps like allowing racial justice messages in end zones and on helmets and T-shirts. Some team owners have pledged money toward social justice causes or offered their stadiums as polling places for the November election.

Tom Brady says cameo taken out of context
Tom Brady throws a 34-yard touchdown pass to Josh Gordon for his 500th career touchdown pass during the fourth quarter against the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 4, 2018. (CNN) - Tom Brady is defending his cameo in the Netflix series "Living With Yourself," saying the media is creating a "blame and shame" culture. In the scene, Brady is seen walking out of the "Top Happy Spa," which is located inside a strip mall. Brady insisted that the scene has nothing to do with Kraft and told reporters it was "taken out of context." "Again, it's unfortunate that people would choose to think I would ever do something like that about Mr. Kraft.
