A California panel on Friday denied parole for a follower of cult leader Charles Manson convicted of slayings more than a half-century ago. Bruce Davis was previously recommended for parole seven times, but those findings were rejected by three consecutive governors. Review: Tarantino's return paints picture of colorful Hollywood era
Now, after a nearly four-year absence from the big screen, Tarantino is back with a movie that looks at a particularly colorful time in Hollywood -- the late 1960s. The actors subsequent movie career went nowhere and he finds himself doing the same old guest roles on various TV shows. DiCaprio delivers another wonderful performance as an actor with undeniable talent but who still harbors incredible insecurities. He has one particularly wonderful scene opposite 12-year-old Julia Butters (from American Housewife) as a no-nonsense child actress who takes her craft VERY seriously. The whole 1960s era also plays a big part in the movie and the production design is incredible.

But just 50 years ago, the home was the scene of the grisly murders of supermarket executive Leno LaBianca and his wife, Rosemary, at the hands of four Charles Manson followers. The couple was killed August 10, 1969, the day after the Manson "family" murdered actress Sharon Tate, who was pregnant at the time, and four others about 11 miles away. The listing makes no mention of the infamous LaBianca murders, which seized the city with terror. The LaBianca house, as its known, has changed hands several times since the murders in 1969 and last sold in 1998.
