Tropea Dental Care at the St. Johns Town Center next to Publix is hosting a free dental day on Saturday, Oct. 19. The event will start at 8 a.m. and run until 2 p.m.

Just when we thought we had seen and tried every type of workout in the River City, we found a new one! Hotworx, at the St Johns Town Center, is a 24 hour infrared sauna facility The short workouts are all led virtually via tv screens that are hung on the walls of saunas set at close to 124 degrees.  The idea behind doing exercises inside these heated rooms is that the core heats up faster, fueling calorie burn.

Dana Stallings and daughter Hayley Dougherty are no strangers to doing things for a great cause. Ordinarily, their family business, Kilwins at the St Johns Town Center sponsors the Ice Cream Run, a fundraiser for the Clarke School. And then the Stallings family is also donating $1 for every dollar raised”. She is referring to the Clarke School for Hearing and Speech, which teaches children who are deaf or hard of hearing to listen and talk. There’s a reason the Clarke school means so much to the Stallings.
