O'Neal hosting SHAQ Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday

It's one of the few events taking place in Tampa, Florida, since many parties that traditionally take place during Super Bowl week have been canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The SHAQ Bowl takes the place of Shaq's Fun House, which had been held the past two years in Atlanta and Miami. The SHAQ Bowl also has its own halftime show with Migos and DJ Diesel performing.

The HBO series won best television drama series at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night for its second season. It also won the best actor trophy for Jeremy Strong along with best writing and best directing. She won best actress in a drama for her role on HBOโs โEuphoria,โ scoring one of the few long shot victories in a Sunday night full of wins from favorites. Star Regina King won best actress, her co-star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II won best supporting actor and the showโs creator Damon Lindelof won for writing. Eugene Levy won best actor, Catherine OโHara won best actress, Annie Murphy won best supporting actress, and Levyโs son, Dan Levy, claimed three: for best supporting actor, writing and directing.
NHL monitoring situation before choosing where to play games
Staple Center is one of the possible locations the NHL has zeroed in on to host playoff games if it can return amid the coronavirus pandemic. Seven of the 10 locations the NHL has zeroed in on to hold playoff games if it resumes are American cities not restricted by Canadas 14-day mandatory quarantine upon arrival. Before the NHL commits to where games could be held, officials are planning for multiple scenarios. But that isnt stopping NHL executives from pitching the ability to host playoff games. None of us would agree to a situation where we are taking away testing from people that need it, Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan said.

They and seven others died in a helicopter crash last month. Vanessa Bryant posted a graphic on Instagram morning to announce the service, a day after reports surfaced about the memorial. A large memorial of flowers and mementos outside Staples Center was removed earlier this week. Also killed in the crash were pilot Ara Zobayan and Bryant friends Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton.

3 injured in Houston concert stampede

Three people were sent to the hospital with leg injuries as they attempted to enter the festival that was expected to draw at least 50,000 people, the Houston Fire Department told CNN affiliate KTRK-TV. Police tweeted at least one person was arrested at the festival for public intoxication, adding that they were successfully working together to "support Houston's biggest music festival."
