35-year-old motorcyclist dies in crash on US 1 in Flagler County: FHP

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in a crash on U.S. 1 in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash at the intersection with White View Parkway was reported just before 8:30 p.m.

According to the FHP report, a car was headed south on U.S. 1 in the left turn lane and turned into the path of a motorcycle headed northbound at the White View Parkway intersection.

The motorcycle hit the right side of the car, throwing the rider off the motorcycle. struck the right side of the sedan. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be forcefully separated from his vehicle.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, died from his injuries

Both the 38-year-old man driving the car and his 73-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts.
