Traffic Alert: Deadly crash closes all lanes of I-10 eastbound at Chaffee Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – All lanes of I-10 eastbound at Chaffee Road are closed Monday morning after a deadly crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash was reported just before 5:20 a.m.
At least one person has died.
Traffic is being detoured onto Chaffee Road. From there, drivers can take Crystal Springs Road to Hammond Boulevard and then hop back onto I-10 east from there.
Back-ups to get onto Chaffee Road are over 35 minutes, as of 6:40 a.m. To save time, drivers can get onto Beaver Street instead from the First Coast Expressway interchange.
FHP is asking drivers to find alternate routes, if possible.
