ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Weekend closures of County Road 16A between Timberwolf Trail and River Reach Parkway will have St. Johns County drivers going on a 12-mile detour over the next three weeks.

The closures are necessary to allow for pipe installation across the roadway, transportation officials said.

During the closures, traffic that needs to get from Timberwolf Trail to River Reach Parkway (or vice versa) will need to detour on a 12-mile loop along State Road 16 and State Road 13, which is about a 20-minute drive. (See map above)

Typically, it takes about 4 minutes for drivers to travel from Timberwolf Trail to River Reach Parkway on CR 16A, so be prepared for extra travel time.
