DeSantis signs bill to raise Florida coaches’ pay after years of News4JAX reporting on low wages

After years of News4JAX reporting on Florida coaching pay issues, Gov. Ron DeSantis visited Jacksonville on Friday to sign a major bill that helps to address low pay for extracurricular leaders like coaches. DeSantis signed the legislation, along with another bill related to high school sports, during a news conference at Ribault High School.
