Nearly 2,000 athletes compete in inaugural Ironman Jacksonville

Nearly 2,000 athletes competed in the inaugural Ironman Jacksonville on Saturday. Scottsdale resident Pedro Gomes won the race with a 8:30:41 time. Jacksonville native Jennifer Sylva was the fastest female. The race will return to Jacksonville for the next two years.
