2026 Voter’s Guide: Bradford County Commission, District 4

2026 Voter's Guide (WJXT)

The current District 4 commissioner, Danny Riddick, is not seeking re-election this year. Two Republicans, Tom Germano and Paul Huntley, are seeking the open seat. As they are the only candidates who qualified for the race, the August primary will decide the election. It will be a Universal Primary Contest open to all voters.

News4JAX sent a questionnaire to each candidate asking about their background and their views on several issues. Scroll down to read the responses of those seeking your vote in their own words.

What do you see as the top three issues in this race, and how do you plan to address them?

- Over Development of Our Rural Community. I will Work to Protect the environment, preserve natural resources, and safeguard wildlife habitats. Of particular concern is a planned 700-acre technology center, which would include partnering with foreign corporations, in our community.

- Data Centers. I will work to defend our local Zoning, Permitting and Land Use, and support laws providing restrictions on AI Data Centers. I will push for an immediate moratorium on Data Centers in Bradford County.

- Support raising the state’s homestead exemption on non-school property taxes to ensure homeowners receive tax relief. I will support the Governor’s plan, and work to eliminate and highlight where excess spending in Bradford County exists.

How can you help voters in a way that others running for this office cannot?

I will dedicate myself full-time to the position of County Commissioner. I will hold regular town hall meetings for all citizens in the district I represent.

What would you hope to be remembered for accomplishing after serving in this office?

I would like to be remembered as an elected public servant whose Christian faith, integrity, honesty, and love for Bradford County made a difference in the lives of all my neighbors and community.
