Two seats on Lake City’s City Council, District 10 and District 14, were up for election this year and appeared on the August primary ballot. In both races, a candidate was able to secure more than 50% of the vote to win the race. Neither race will appear on the November general election ballot.
In District 10, challenger Jennifer Jones defeated incumbent Chevella Young. In District 14, incumbent Ricky Jernigan was defeated by one of his three challengers, Norbie Ronsonet.
