In Bradford County, all voters in Starke will be asked to make a choice in the August primary as to whether the city’s charter should be restated in its entirety. The city commission placed the question on the ballot in the spring, following five months of work by citizens and city officials on the developing the new charter.
According to the ballot question, the proposed changes would conform the charter with current law and present standards of municipal governance, and make changes to the organization, powers, and procedures of city government.
