One seat on the board of the Amelia Island Mosquito Control District will go before voters this election year. The district is an independent special taxing district which has been in place since 1950. The district has three commissioners, and two of those seats were up for election this year, though one seat is uncontested. The race for the other seat, Group 2, features incumbent Debby Porter and challenger Todd Nuckols.
