In the town of Pomona Park in Putnam County, three Town Council seats were up for election this year, along with the mayor. Only one candidate qualified for each of the three town council seats, so they were automatically elected or re-elected.
Two candidates qualified for the mayoral race, which is non-partisan: the incumbent, Anthony Cuevas, and Nelson Anderson. The race will appear only on the ballots of voters in Precinct 6, which covers Pomona Park.

What do you see as the top three issues in this race, and how do you plan to address them?
1. FDOT is planning to 4 lane US17 through the town. Without constant pressure to minimize impacts, they will not take the preservation of the town as the main goal.
2. The town beatification committee dissolved due to a conflcit with the current mayor. As the center of town events its imperative the city work with them to restopre their community role.
3. The town people feel like their needs are not being taken seriously. From the only local community school being removed from city property to simple things like the needs for crosswalks being dismissed as not needed, the city is here to do what the people want.
How can you help voters in a way that others running for this office cannot?
I have 7 years of local government experience with Clay County and SJRWMD and know how to manage a small communities infrastructure.
What would you hope to be remembered for accomplishing after serving in this office?
Bringing the community back together and resuming our incredibly popular Saturday community breakfast.
