Heat cranks up

Scatted storms will increase with a greater coverage inland especially around Clay and Putnam counties into the early evening. Some lingering storms over southern Georgia could continue up until midnight.

The heat will increase tomorrow with highs in the mid 90s and a great chance of afternoon and evening storms.

Looking ahead: Friday and the weekend, storms will be more numerous as a weak cold front settles across the area with highs in the low 90s.
