JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Strong thunderstorms threatening Northwestern Ware and Clinch counties in Southeast Georgia are beginning now and will last throughout the day as the front drops in from the northwest.

Be prepared for gusty winds, heavy rainfall and hail as the main threats. Circulation isn’t much of a factor; however, can’t rule out straight-line winds and the possibility of an isolated tornado. No watches or warnings are in effect at this time.
Northeast Florida temperatures continue to rise under partly cloudy skies. Heat indexes will rise into the upper 90s. Isolated pop-up showers can occur. Winds will be gusty at times throughout the afternoon. Stormy conditions will subside over the evening hours under muggy, moist skies. Temperatures drop into the upper 70s and low 70s by sunrise Sunday.
Rain chances on Sunday increase to 60% and will be more widespread throughout the region.
Once the cold front passes through, expect cooler temperatures Monday and Tuesday with highs in the low 80s.
