Way, way, waaaaay out in the Eastern and Central Tropical Atlantic, we are watching a tropical wave that will emerge off of west Africa in a couple of days.
The GFS has been sniffing around in this area for the last couple of days with little consistency from one model run to the next.
EURO vs GFS (.) Environmental conditions could support some slow development of the system over the weekend into early next week as the wave moves to the west-northwest at about 15 mph.
The current formation chance through 48 hours is 0 percent and the formation chance through 7 days is 20 percent.
