Rounds of much-needed rain are on the way.
A welcome change as scattered showers and thunderstorms move across our area Friday and Saturday. Partly cloudy skies with light wind tonight as clouds build from the north. Rain chances will increase after midnight for southeast Georgia. Rain chances will increase late Friday afternoon for northeast Florida as the slow-moving front nearly stalls south of I-10.
Rain chances will linger through around 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday for northeast Florida. Models have come together and are showing the potential for 1 - 2 inches for southeast Georgia and 0.50 - 1.5 inches for northeast Florida.
The breezy northeast winds continue through early next week, along with a slight chance of sea breeze showers for our coastal counties.
Skies will begin clearing late Saturday and continue through Sunday morning with a light northeast breeze and near seasonal highs.

Friday: Increasing rain chances after midnight for SE GA then moving over NE FL late Friday. Scattered showers with areas of rain and embedded thunderstorms will be possible through Saturday afternoon. Morning lows in the 50s to near 60. Afternoon highs in the 60s and 70s for SE GA, 70s to low 80s for NE FL. Rain chances 70-100 percent. Wind SW/NE 10-15 mph.
Saturday: Clearing skies over SE GA as showers and storms move across northeast Florida. Rain chances will decrease through the day with rain ending around 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Lows in the 50s. Afternoon highs in the 60s to 70s. Rain chances 50-70 percent. Wind: NE 10-15 mph.
