Rain chances stay limited today (20%) and Wednesday (30%), so many locations will remain dry, allowing temperatures to maximize.
Beginning Wednesday night, deeper tropical moisture returns, with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms becoming more widespread through the end of the week.
Thursday through Sunday will feature daily afternoon and evening storms with rain chances around 60-70%, locally heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and gusty winds.
Increased cloud cover and rain will trim afternoon highs back into the lower to mid 90s late week and this weekend, offering some relief from the dangerous heat, though it will remain humid.
