At 7: 00 PM CDT the center of Tropical Storm Edouard was located near latitude 28.4 North, longitude 91.6 West.
The storm is moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph and a west-northwestward to northwestward track is forecast over the next day or two.
The center of Edouard will reach the northwestern Gulf Coast within the warning area on Tuesday and move inland over southeast Texas on Tuesday night.
Radar and satellite data indicate that the maximum sustained winds have increased to near 40 mph.
Additional strengthening is likely before the center reaches the northwest Gulf Coast on Tuesday.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 25 miles from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb or 29.83 inches.
A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the northwestern Gulf Coast from Port Bolivar, Texas, to the Vermilion/Cameron Parish Line in Louisiana.
No impacts are expected for our area.
