Bob Ellis, Vice President and General Manager
Bob Ellis is the vice president and general manager of WJXT and WCWJ, the Graham Media Group Inc. duopoly in Jacksonville, Florida. Under Ellisโ leadership, WJXT has widened the gap as the most-watched television station in Jacksonville. In 2014 news4jax.com earned the national Edward R. Murrow award as the best local television website in the United States. Ellis has led WJXT in launching several innovative projects to emphasize its popular station brand, The Local Station. Before joining WJXT, Ellis had been news director of WDIV, the Graham Media Group Inc. station in Detroit.
Kim Parker, Business Manager
Kim Parker is the business manager for WJXT-TV/Graham Media Group Florida Inc. She has held this position since 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of the stationโs finance, human resource and business operations. Parker started her broadcast career in 1995 at Enterprise System Group Inc. out of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She began as implementation specialist working with finance departments at local TV, radio and cable companies during the software conversion process. In 2003 Parker began working with Marketron and assisted the company during its migration to the television industry with installation of their software at the Telemundo stations. Parker later transitioned to the station side of the business in 2004 and began working at Media General as the regional controller in the Jacksonville market before joining WJXT-TV.
Sam Foley, General Sales Manager
Sam Foley started in the broadcast business as an assistant with Blair Television in New York City after graduating from Washington & Lee University. He worked for both TeleRep and Blair in Atlanta from 1988-1994. He moved to Jacksonville in 1994 as National Sales Manager with WTLV in 1994 and was with Gannet/Tegna in a variety of sales management roles through August of 2015. Married to Diane with 2 boys (20 and 17) he lives at the beach, enjoys golf, photography and SCUBA diving
Tracy Gaffney, EP for Sales, Station Projects
Tracy started at WJXT in 1982 as a public affairs producer and host, then director of community services. She now combines community services duties with station events. She coordinates Channel 4 events in the community, hosts station tours for school groups and assist WJXTโs sales team with production needs for on-air elements related to sponsorships.
Nancy Tillman, Manager of News, Studio Operations
Nancy Tillman is the director of news and studio operations at WJXT in Jacksonville. During her early years at WJXT, she not only honed her design skills, but gained greater experience in strategic planning and personnel management, leading to her promotion to Manager of Design and Production in 2000. She scheduled director training, news production rehearsals, and automation launch of different news day-parts while assuring that the station's broadcast operations remained seamless. Tillman began her career in broadcasting in 1982 as a staff artist at CNN Headline News in Atlanta. A native of Atlanta, Tillman is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a BFA in Graphic Design.
