CMA vocal duo of year to headline TaxSlayer Bowl New Year's Eve Bash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The TaxSlayer Bowl announced Friday that the 2016 CMA vocal duo of the year, Brothers Osborne, will headline the first‐ever NYE Bowl Bash concert on Dec. 31.

The event, held after the game, will conclude a TaxSlayer Bowl weekend of activities.

The free outdoor concert, produced by AGS, will take place in the streets of Downtown Jacksonville with the stage located at the intersection of Ocean and Forsyth streets. The concert will kick off at 4:00 p.m. and include performances by Brett Young, Maggie Rose, Tyler Hammond, Jordan Davis, Josh Phillips, Lockhart and DJ E.L.

TaxSlayer Bowl weekend includes a full slate of activities for teams, fans and locals alike. The weekend kicks off Friday, Dec. 30, with the TaxSlayer Bowl coaches luncheon and Hall of Fame Induction,featuring the participating teams and head coaches to formally induct the legendary Coach Frank Beamer into the Gator Bowl Hall of Fame.

Following the luncheon, the Jacksonville Landing will host the VyStar 5K run, team pep rRallies and the Parris Island Marine Corps Band. The evening concludes with the free Community First Jacksonville Light Boat Parade and iconic fireworks show along the banks of the St. Johns River.

New Year’s Eve Saturday starts at 11 a.m. with the 72nd TaxSlayer Bowl, which will feature a team from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) facing off against an opponent from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) at EverBank Field. Fans and locals can then come downtown to ring in 2017 with the New Year’s Eve Bowl Bash and fireworks along the St. Johns River. For more information on TaxSlayer Bowl weekend events or to
