Stein Mart to open 5 new stores this spring

Jacksonville-based retailer plans to open at least 12 stores in 2016

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., – Stein Mart announced the first phase of its plan to open at least 12 new stores in 2016.

On Tuesday, the Jacksonville-based retailer announced the locations of the first five stores, which are slated to open in the spring.

  • Aurora (Denver), Colorado
  • King of Prussia (Philadelphia), Pennsylvania
  • Madison, Wisconsin
  • Naples, Florida
  • Wilmington, Delaware

This news follows the company’s recent release of total sales growth of 3.2 percent for 2015.

“We are very pleased with the progress we are making with our store growth. This year’s anticipated store openings will surpass the ten stores we opened last year and nine stores in 2014,” said Jay Stein, CEO of Stein Mart. “We look forward to introducing our current and new customers to these wonderful new locations where they will always find great values on the best designer and name brand merchandise, in an attractive, easy-to-shop setting.”

The locations of the seven or more new fall stores, which are scheduled to open in October and November, will be announced this summer.
