Massage parlor employee charged with sexual battery

Police search for more victims after arrest

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are concerned there could be more victims after three people reported a sexual battery or attempted sexual battery at an Avenues Mall business that led to an arrest.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, three people have come forward since Feb. 11 to report the attacks at Body and Sole Massage on Southside Boulevard.

Police said an investigation led to the arrest of an employee, 32-year-old Qiting Duan, at the business on one charge of sexual battery and two charges of attempted sexual battery.

According to an incident report, one victim told police Duan touched her inappropriately in her vagina area during a massage.

She said she had been at the parlor for a couples massage with her fiance and that Duan had massaged her buttocks while she was lying face down. Then, after having her flip onto her back, he covered her eyes with a paper towel, massaged her inner thighs and touched her vagina beneath her underwear.

She told officers she "shrugged" him away so he would stop touching her there and he immediately cut the one-hour massage short at 40 minutes.

Officers said the woman was shaken and wanted to notify management but Duan was nearby as she paid at the register with her fiance.

The report said it was the victim's first massage so she wasn't sure what was supposed to happen but she knew something wasn't right and decided to report the incident to police days later.

Police said it is possible there could be additional victims who frequented the business in the past, and they're asking anyone with any information about the recent incidents or who wishes to report additional incidents to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.

The owner of the business declined to comment Monday afternoon.
