18-year-old killed in Northside double shooting, police say

Police: Shooter fired from silver Buick LaSabre

JACKSONVILLE, FLa. – Authorities on Friday identified an 18-year-old man who was killed in a late night shooting in the Highlands neighborhood on the city's Northside, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. 

Police said Nicholas Taurus Williams and a 19-year-old man were walking down Gailwood Circle East around 10 p.m. when a silver Buick LeSabre drove up, stopped and someone from inside started shooting.

Both of the teenagers were shot and taken to the hospital. Williams died at the hospital, and the 19-year-old, whose name has not been released, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

It's unclear how many people were inside the Buick at the time of the shooting, according to JSO. At this time police do not have a description of the shooter.
