Person hospitalized after being struck by gunfire in Jacksonville Beach Shooting investigation on 277 Third Street South in at Jacksonville Beach (News4JAX Channel 4)
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – One person was hospitalized after being struck by gunfire Sunday evening during a reported disturbance in Jacksonville Beach , police said.
Officers responded to 277 Third Street South at Charley’s Cheesesteak at about 6:39 p.m., according to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department. The person’s condition has not been released at this time.
Another person was detained, but police did not release that person’s name or say whether charges had been filed.
The scene remains contained, and police said there is no threat to the public. The shooting remains under investigation.
Additional details will be released as they become available, police said.
