FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Voters in Fernandina Beach went to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballot in the runoff race for a seat on the Fernandina Beach City Commission.
Ronald "Chip" Ross won the Group 3 seat on the City Commission with 1,396 votes, or 54.96 percent.

He defeated Orlando J. Avila in the nonpartisan race.
Voter turnout in the runoff election was 24.04 percent. Of the city's 10,568 registered voters, 2,541 cast ballots.
