The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said witnesses reported seeing a four-door, light-blue Nissan car leaving the scene. A car matching that description was stopped a short time later, and three people were detained, police said.

One person in car was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. News4Jax saw bullet holes in the car that also had evidence markers on it.

Homicide detectives said they believe the shooting was the result of some sort of exchange between the individuals.

When releasing McClendon's name five days later, police did not mention any arrests, saying only that an active homicide investigation was continuing.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
