Police ID 22-year-old shot, killed in Moncrief

Investigators seeking surveillance video in area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have identified a 22-year-old man found dead July 12 from a shooting in Moncrief.

Officers responded to a call around 2:11 a.m. July 12 at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and 31st Street. They found a man, later identified as Mario Harris, dead on the sidewalk with at least one gunshot wound on his upper body.

Harris died at the scene.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and spoke with witnesses, hoping to find surveillance video that can provide more information about the shooting.

No information was released about a possible shooter.
