Yulee man dies following shooting at apartment complex in St. Marys, police say

ST. MARYS, Ga. – A man from Yulee died Saturday evening after he was shot near an apartment complex in St. Marys, according to the St. Marys Police Department.

Officers said the incident occurred near Wellington Way Apartments, 800 Winding Road, around 6 p.m., where they found two people with gunshot wounds, a 23-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman.
The man died after he was taken to a nearby hospital.
SMPD said the woman was reported in stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury.
The agency added that officers took a 23-year-old man into custody for questioning about the shooting; however, no charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
