ORANGE PARK, Fla – The first baby of the year was delivered less than 15 minutes after the clock struck midnight New Years Night at Baptist Medical Center South.

The hospital announced Wednesday a baby girl, Sydney, was born at 12:13 a.m. on 1/1/20. Sydney weighed in at 8 pounds, 10 ounces.

We thought baby Delilah (pictured) was the first baby of 2020, but News4Jax learned another was born half an hour earlier!
Orange Park Medical Center had laid claim to having delivered the first baby, also a baby girl. Delilah Rae was born at 12:43 a.m. to proud parents Annie and Darren. Delilah weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces.
