They noticed a trail of blood leading away from the SUV, Rudlaff said, which police followed, bringing them to a second man who was shot. Both men were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Rudlaff said the man in the SUV died from his injuries, while the other was undergoing surgery. Neither man was identified.

According to Rudlaff, investigators believe both men were sitting in the rear of the SUV. He said when the shooting began, the driver pulled over and got out. The driver was being questioned by detectives.
