Vote 2026: Election results in state & local races for the Aug. 18, 2026 Florida Primary

Vote 2026 Election Results (WJXT)

The polls are now closed across much of Florida for the state’s 2026 primary election. Republicans and Democrats across the state cast ballots to pick their party’s nominees for governor, U.S. Senate, and other state cabinet offices, as well as in U.S. House, Florida House, and local races.

In addition to the party primaries, Tuesday’s primary included non-partisan races, such as school board, that were open to all voters in a given area. Also, some party primaries were opened to all voters, if there were no other candidates in the race. That situation, when the primary determines the winner of the race, is called a Universal Primary Contest.
