Man hit while pumping gas in Bradford County FHP logo (Graham Media Group)
STARKE, Fla – A 19-year-old man was hit by an SUV while pumping gas in Bradford County on Tuesday evening, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
The report says a 26-year-old man was traveling northbound on SE 144th Avenue in Starke when his SUV veered off the road and crossed over State Road 100, entering a Circle K gas station. The SUV hit the front of a parked car at a gas pump, then hit the gas pump itself, along with the 19-year-old who had been standing at the pump next to the car, FHP said.
The man at the pump was taken to UF Health Gainesville with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 26-year-old, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to North Florida Starke Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
