Note: The Orange Park Police Department initially reported that they responded to the scene at 5:44 p.m. They later sent a correction, saying it happened an hour prior.
ORANGE PARK, Fla. – A man was hospitalized Wednesday evening for treatment of life-threatening injuries after he was found shot in the parking lot of Bestbet Orange Park, according to a news release from the Police Department.
Officers said they were called to the scene at 4:44 p.m., where they found a man near the front entrance suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers said the shooter fled the area.

Detectives on scene were reviewing surveillance footage from the business and looking for witnesses. The shooting was said to be isolated and police said there was no threat to the community.
