Apartment fire on the Northside displaces 15 people JFRD said 8 units were damaged, Red Cross assisting residents

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded to a fire Saturday at the Park at River City Apartments shortly after 3 a.m.
There is severe damage to eight apartment units from the blaze, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. There’s also water damage.
JFRD said 15 people are unable to get inside their homes. The Red Cross was on the scene to help anyone who needed it.
No one was hurt.
The flames are out as of 5:45 a.m., JFRD said.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
