Demolition on the old Highlands Elementary School has begun, new school to open in 2024

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Duval County Public Schools released a video on its social media accounts Monday of Highlands Elementary School being demolished. A new school will open in 2024 thanks to the half-penny sales tax.
Students are temporarily attending school on the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School campus for the 2023-24 school year.
