Crash with injuries closes lanes at Philips Highway, Emerson Street intersection

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people were taken to the hospital after a Thursday evening crash that closed down multiple lanes at the intersection of Philips Highway and Emerson Street, according to Jacksonville Fire Rescue.

As of 7:30 p.m., all northbound lanes on Philips Hwy were closed and all westbound lanes on Emerson St. were closed.

The individuals suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to fire rescue, from the crash involving a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office cruiser.

It’s unclear when lanes will reopen.
