Monday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will open a new location for members of the public to access common police services, such as fingerprinting and public records.
The new Public Services Building, at 450 Magnolia Street in the Riverside area, is just down the street from the new JSO headquarters in the Florida Blue building. JSO moved its administrative and investigative offices to the Florida Blue building, with the final stages happening in recent weeks.

The Public Services Building offers fingerprints, public records, performer work applications / renewals, and recruitment services. It is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding weekends and federal holidays.
The Magnolia Street location also hosts the District 1 substation, after that office moved from its Norwood Avenue location earlier this month.
JSO says the parking lot at the main headquarters at the Florida Blue building, located at 532 Riverside Ave., is still available for people to use as part of the Safer Transaction program, to conduct and exchange legal merchandise purchased or sold through online marketplaces. The Prescription Drug Drop Box is also available at 532 Riverside Ave., 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The sheriff’s office has posted a video on its website showing citizens where parking is located at the new Public Services Building, and where they can enter.
