ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A 22-year-old man from Jacksonville died Saturday afternoon after striking the guardrail on State Road 9B at Peyton Parkway in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to the FHP report, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound when his motorcycle traveled off the roadway as it was entering the curve.

Troopers said the motorcyclist separated from the motorcycle and struck the guardrail.
The motorcycle continued south until it came to rest in the roadway, FHP said.
The 22-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the police report, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
