Downtown Jacksonville (Free)

The City of Jacksonville will put on its annual fireworks display over the St. Johns River on Sunday. Dec. 31!

Say goodbye to 2023 and ring in the new year on the waterfront with friends or family.

This year fireworks will be launched from a barge on the St. Johns River between the Hyatt and DoubleTree hotels and high above the St. Johns River from the Acosta Bridge. The show can be viewed from both the north and south banks in Downtown Jacksonville — in addition to viewing from Brooklyn and under the Fuller Warren Bridge where the Riverside Arts Market is held. The fireworks show will begin at midnight to ring in 2024.

The event is free to attend.

St. Augustine Beach (Free)

Bring the family out for a free, spectacular 20-minute “Light up the Night” fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The fireworks are shot off the St. Johns County Pier (350 A1A Beach Blvd.) in St. Augustine Beach, but there are multiple viewing locations to enjoy the show. Viewing areas include St. Augustine Beach Pier Park (the Volleyball Courts area, Splash Park, and Pavilion.) Pedestrian beach access from 10th Street South and beach driving on A Street (4X4 only) access as normal barring weather restrictions.

For those viewing the fireworks from locations other than St. Johns County Pier Park, tune in to WSOS 103.9 FM at 8:30 PM and listen to the music while you watch the show. The event is free to attend.
