21-year-old Lake Butler woman dies in head-on collision with semi in Union County No description found
UNION COUNTY, Fla. – A 21-year-old Lake Butler woman died in a head-on collision with a semitruck in Union County on Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The woman was traveling southbound in the passenger seat on State Road 121, just north of State Road 16 at 5:17 a.m. The driver, an 18-year-old woman, crossed the centerline in a curve and collided head-on with the semi-truck. Officials said the passenger was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to UF Health Gainsville with critical injuries, and the semi-truck driver had minor injuries.
